The route from Insul to Altenahr-Kreuzberg is 17.4 km long and allows hikers to delve into the absolute seclusion of nature; lonely plateaus and rural idyll await, along with the wine village of Altenahr at the end of the leg.
A royally beautiful hike through the former Duchy of Arenberg invites you to discover the story of Princess Margaretha. The short route is an abbreviated version of the Fürstin-Margaretha-Weg (Antweiler-Eichenbach-Aremberg-Antweiler)
The trail leads along the banks of the Rursee, then up to Schmidt and back through the Eifel National Park with a view of the "Schwammenauel" reservoir.
