Winter magic between half-timbered houses and castles

When the scent of roasted almonds fills your nose, candlelight dances gently over cobblestones and soft music plays in the middle of old town walls - then Advent has begun in the Eifel.

The Christmas markets in the Eifel invite you to enjoy and linger. A cozy atmosphere is created in historic castle courtyards, between half-timbered houses or on lovingly decorated village squares. Handmade gifts, regional specialties and direct contact with artisans make every visit special.

Not only the markets themselves, but also the decorated gardens, house facades and windows reflect the magic of the pre-Christmas period. And those who stay for the turn of the year can look forward to small, fine events in an atmospheric setting.
