The Eifel is awakening - and now is the perfect time to discover it by bike. Fresh greenery, blooming landscapes and mild temperatures make every tour a pleasure. Whether it's a leisurely ride through the valleys or a sporty ride over the heights - numerous day tours invite you to enjoy unforgettable spring moments. So: get your bike ready and off you go!

Hiking in bloom

When the first flowers sprout and nature awakens from hibernation, the Eifel shows its most beautiful side. Now is the ideal time to enjoy the warm rays of sunshine and breathe in the fresh spring air on a relaxing hike.

The wild daffodils are a highlight, transforming entire meadows in the Perlenbach Valley into a bright yellow sea of flowers. The variety of orchids in Prümer Land and the Southern Eifel Nature Park will also delight nature lovers. If you look closely, you might spot the rare marsh fritillary.

From May onwards, the golden-yellow blooming broom, the "Eifel gold", sets bright accents in the landscape. This natural spectacle is particularly impressive on the "Heidehimmel-Volkesfeld" dream trailin the High Eifel. Delicate violets gently adorn the paths, for example along the panoramic Eifel trail "Münstereifelsteig".

Daffodils in the Eifel

Every spring, the Eifel region is transformed into a bright yellow sea of flowers: around six million wild daffodils spread out in the Perlenbach and Fuhrtsbachtal valleys near Monschau and in the Oleftal valley near Hellenthal to form large, bright carpets and herald the arrival of spring. This colorful and rare natural spectacle unfolds over an area of around 280 hectares - in Germany it can only be found in the Hunsrück.
