A high proportion of railroad tracks quickly makes you forget the smaller climbs and in the evenings, the regional delicacies of the Eifel - from Belgian fries and Monschau mustard to Eifeler Döppekooche - tempt you back to your accommodation.
One last look at the impressive architecture of Aachen Cathedral and then it's time to head out into nature: Off into nature. Borders are easily overcome in Losheimergraben: Are you still in Belgium? Or are you already in Germany? Either way, you are in the Eifel, in the heart of Europe, a region that has imperial stories to tell.
Architectural masterpieces, created by man, original paths, created by nature, unite to form a journey into an eventful past. The river Kyll, which sometimes meanders gently, sometimes flows lively and lively in its riverbed created over the millennia, accompanies cyclists on a large part of the route.         The 27-hectare Kronenburger See is a recreational lake for sailors, surfers, anglers and swimmers. Parking fee €4.00/day/vehicle, a parking ticket must be obtained from the parking ticket machine.

        The Helenenquelle on the Kyll Cycle Path near Gerolstein Town Hall is a popular resting place for cyclists and hikers. The fresh mineral water comes from a depth of approx. 90 m and can be drunk free of charge from April-October from the brass tap. Here it is worth taking a break and the park is ideal for a small picnic in nature.
