The 6 Stage is one for red wine lovers. From the romantic wine village of Walporzheim, this leg leads you on windy paths past the red wine metropolis of Ahrweiler to the chic spa town of Bad Neuenahr.

Before the start of the stage, the Roman Villa museum is well worth a visit, as is the government documentation site in Ahrweiler.   
From the hiking car park in Walporzheim the route starts through shady woods and over little wooden bridges, past Calvarienberg Abbey through vineyards to the Lourdes chapel. Past the Karlsberg observation point and through the Neuenahr forest to the forest climbing park. Then the 3km marked path leads downhill towards Bad Neuenahr. Large parks and stunning town villas start to appear. The Bad Neuenahr casino tempts as tired hikers relax in the Ahr thermal baths.
