The hike leads from Simmerath into the picturesque Tiefenbachtal valley. Passing the very first commercial enterprise in Simmerath, the path meanders through the beautiful valley where the former oil mill is located. The path then leads uphill along the Brombach stream via Huppenbroich back to Simmerath

The Hocheifel-Panorama-Weg connects the predicate hiking trails AhrSteig and Eifelleiter over the ridges of the Hocheifel and captivates with fantastic views. Starting at the chapel in the tranquil Eifel village of Insul, the route quickly leads through the dense deciduous forest to the ridges of the Hocheifel. Fantastic distant views from the Winnerather Höhe to the opposite Eifel peaks and even as far as the Siebengebirge promise a scenic hike.

The route leads through meadows and forests to the foot of the Döhmberg. A wonderful walk through a piece of the volcanic Eifel.

13.1 km 3:45 h Medium

The Burberg in Schutz gives this hike its name. The unique volcanic mountain offers cultural treasures in the form of the remains of a Roman fortification from the 4th century.

This 16 km long EifelSpur trail takes you through the hills densely covered with juniper bushes in the impressive Lampertstal nature reserve near Alendorf and Ripsdorf south of Blankenheim.
