We´re renting our 68m2 big, high quality eqipped, apartment, close to the Nussbach in Welschbillig.This newly renovated and modern equipped apartment is divided into living room (flatscreen tv, Dab/FM- radio, CD player, bluetooth connection) with eating corner, separate kitchen, one bedroom, bathroom, hallway, storage room and lastly a terrace with roof and a lovely view of the wide green landscape surrounding this apartment. Assuring a stress-free arrival, are the already made beds waiting for you to relax in, as well as the towels, robes and slippers, making you feel at home.This apartments close proximity to hiking- and cycling trails, for example the Eifelsteig, Moselradweg, Kylltalradweg or a part of the jakobuspath, make this apartment a perfect fit for everyone seeking adventures during their vacation.Another advantage is its closeness to Germany´s oldest city, Trier, and also the neighbouring Luxemburg, enabling you to make a lot of nice daytrips, without any struggles. To be able to enjoy you vacation to the fullest, you are welcome to enjoy a nice glass of local wine on our beautiful terrace, bringing the days to a lovely end. To make this even easier for you, we have placed a variety of local wines at your disposal, to buy, if you are in the mood.Regarding the preference of most our guests, smoking and domestic animals are not allowed in the apartment. Exclusive, tastefully furnished chalet in a natural location As soon as you enter the barrier-free bungalow chalet, you will feel the unique indoor climate of our sustainable wooden houses. Solid polar wood, large windows and the special ceiling height convey the feeling of being in the middle of nature and help you to simply let go and relax! THE ACCOMMODATION The 125 m2 bungalow chalets and the 175 m2 gallery chalet are located in the middle of the beautiful Vulkaneifel. With two to three bedrooms, they are ideal for a longer stay with 2-6 people. One bedroom can be prepared with either two double beds or one single bed. Please give us a brief note on this. We only completed the chalet at the end of 2022 and furnished it in a modern, stylish and comfortable way. Each chalet has its own sauna, free-standing bathtub and private gym. The sleeping area, kitchen, bathroom and fitness area are fully equipped and of the highest quality. Each chalet has two private parking spaces with a private wall box for electric cars. In our NETTE chalets, we not only provide you with bed linen, bathrobes and towels, we also clean them according to the strictest cleaning standards. In addition, a large number of consumables are freely available to you. From fragrance essences for our saunas to shampoo and shower gel to dishwasher tabs and cotton pads. Upon arrival you will also find some coffee capsules and tea bags for a relaxed first arrival. All of these consumables are replenished or replaced after each stay. Our goal is that our guests lack nothing! We ask for your understanding that it is only through our cleaning costs that we are able to meet such high hygiene standards and, moreover, to ensure a maximum carefree experience during your stay. OTHER IMPORTANT NOTES There are many beautiful hiking and cycling trails in the Eifel. We recommend the "Komoot" app. There you will find a variety of predefined and individual hiking routes. From Oberbettingen and Gerolstein you are well connected by train in Germany. Shops and restaurants are in the immediate vicinity!

Whether you are a hiking enthusiast or a cyclist. The bicycle and hiking trail starts right in front of the front door. You have a beautiful view into the Nimstal and can enjoy nature. Our sunny terrace invites you to linger with a view of nature. You can easily reach many excursion destinations from Rittersdorf. For example, the Bitburg reservoir, the Eifelpark Wild and leisure park in Gondorf, the Irrel waterfalls as well as the dinosaur park and the Teufelsschlucht nature park centre in Ernzen, Trier - the oldest city in Germany, picturesque Echternach (Luxembourg), the beautiful town of Bernkastel on the Moselle, the Maare lakes near Daun and much more. Beautiful landscapes, lots of nature, a good range of leisure activities and great sights - that's a holiday in the Southern Eifel! The local community of Rittersdorf is located in the Nimstal valley about 3 km north of the district town of Bitburg. A visit to the brewery there is well worth it!

Welcome to Himmerod AbbeyIn 1135, Bernard of Clairvaux himself sent his spiritual sons, the gray Cistercian monks of Clairvaux, to the green folds by the flowing waters of the Salm. He had convinced himself of the ideal location of the valley basin between Kunowald, Salm and gentle hills.The abbey's first name "Claustrum" means island, refuge, protection and shelter. In just a few years, the monks turned the monastery into an important religious and spiritual center of the Eifel region.The entire monastery complex is still enclosed by the medieval cloister wall (14th century).The structural principle of the complex is the concentric circles (like the coat of arms) in the exterior: guest house, workshops, mill, bookshop, inn, courtyard, gardens: in the interior: Church and monastery building, cloister and quadrum. In the center is the church, which was rebuilt in the 1950s according to the model of the old building by C. Kretschmar.
