There are around 15 motorhome pitches available directly below the dam wall on Lake Kronenburg, which are also suitable for large motorhomes. The pitches are very quiet, partly parceled out and have an electricity connection. A supply and disposal column can be accessed above the pitch. Next to the pitch is the extensive leisure area with mini golf and playground, and the bathing area at Lake Kronenburg is just a few minutes' walk away.A wide range of tourist attractions can be reached from the pitch: The historic castle town of Kronenburg, 10 different circular hiking trails, the Kyll cycle path.

A learning and event venue that sets entirely new standards opened in spring 2020 at the popular location of the old youth hostel Schleiden-Gemünd. Nestled in a valley rich in forest and water, in the Eifel National Park, the building with its impressive wooden façade and large transparent window areas fits perfectly into the surrounding nature. The youth hostel is one of the certified national park hosts and is thus the ideal base for numerous outdoor activities. School classes not only learn a lot about the Eifel National Park and its animal and plant life in Gemünd Vogelsang, but they also benefit from the proximity to the "International Place Vogelsang". The 100-hectare site of the former NS-Ordensburg Vogelsang is now a modern extracurricular learning and cultural event venue.
