Description

The fairytale trail in the middle of the Jünkerath forest invites children to actively experience an exciting Grimm fairytale, solve tricky tasks and discover nature in a playful way. The fairy tale and the accompanying booklet are currently only available in German.

Immerse yourselves in an imaginative world of adventure together with your children: on the Fairy Tale Trail, the Brothers Grimm’s story ‘The Six Who Travelled the World’ comes to life, and your children will become little heroes and heroines in their own right.

Join a brave soldier who must find his own way after the war. Along the way, he meets six extraordinary companions, each with a very special ability. Together, they face challenges, master tricky tasks and prove that teamwork can move mountains. Not even a king is safe from their ingenuity. This is exactly where your children can get actively involved, try things out and discover their own strengths.

The trail leads past the two Jünkerath reservoirs and through mysterious woods that are perfect for little explorers. Games, puzzles and challenges await at six varied activity stations. With the items from the fairy-tale bag, your children become part of the story and experience the fairy tale with all their senses. A reward awaits the children at the end of the trail.

Good to know before your fairy-tale adventure:

The fairy-tale bags for the Fairy-Tale Trail are available for €7.95 from the tourist information centres in Stadtkyll, Hillesheim and Gerolstein.

The Fairy Tale Trail is suitable for children of pre-school and primary school age. The story and the tasks have been deliberately designed to be a little more challenging: the aim is to promote reading skills and comprehension in a playful way, whilst encouraging the children to think for themselves, solve puzzles together and make discoveries.

The bag contains lots of exciting items that will be needed along the way, such as colourful paper in various sizes, feathers, ropes, a nail, fabric and a bottle of water. But watch out: that’s not all! The little adventurers will have to discover and collect further materials themselves along the way in order to solve the puzzles and games.

Our tip: Take a quick look at the contents of the bag and the accompanying booklet together before you set off. That way, young and old alike will know what to expect and can dive straight into the adventure!

Look forward to spending quality family time in the great outdoors, enjoying exercise, fun and plenty of imagination. The Fairy Tale Trail turns a walk into a real adventure for children.
