Welcome to the Altes Forsthaus zu Rohr. Only 3 minutes from the A1, our farm is conveniently located and yet very quiet. The property was built around 1920 and extensively renovated and modernized in 2014. In the course of this, the former hayloft was stripped back to the outer walls and extensively converted into a modern, open-plan vacation apartment, the LichtRaum. The property was designed in such a way that it can also be used as a seminar room if required. The LichtRaum vacation apartment is accessible via the outside staircase. The horse stable and tack room are located under the LichtRaum. Thanks to the open design, we have created a light-flooded room with bamboo parquet flooring and underfloor heating. A cozy couch and armchairs invite you to rest and relax. The old quarry stone walls have remained, which has led to wide window sills that invite you to sit down in their frames to read and dream. Wifi and internet access via cable are available and we have a fiber optic connection. Television and a compact music system are also part of the equipment. Two steps lead down to the open kitchen with adjoining shower room which has a floor-level shower. The gallery is located above the kitchen and shower room. This is also fitted with bamboo parquet flooring and can be reached via a staircase. The main room has a 5m high ceiling, On the gallery there are 2 double beds (1.60x2.00m) with oversized comforters (1.55x2.20m; 2 duvets/bed), in addition the couch in the living room can be pulled out into a sofa bed (2.00x2.00m). Of course, appropriate comforters and bed linen are also available for this case. A fireplace with seating is integrated in the staircase to the gallery. The kitchen is also equipped with a whisper-quiet dishwasher, stove with oven, kettle, Senseo coffee machine and a fridge with freezer compartment. If required, a waffle iron, blender, etc. can be provided. The dining area is integrated into the kitchen, as it is well known that the kitchen is the coziest place to be. Our water comes from our own well. The water is also fed through a Grander water revitalization device, which ensures high-quality water for all residents. Rental to holiday guests has only been possible since the complete renovation in 2023. Our great-grandparents and grandparents previously lived here. Through the complete renovation, we can offer you every comfort you need for a relaxing holiday, despite the house's long history. We offer you space on two floors with two double rooms and one single room. The 5-star holiday apartment is located in a quiet outskirts location in the small village of Nohn, which is particularly known for the growing Dreimühlen waterfall. Our property offers you the perfect starting point for hiking, cycling or relaxing. The Kalkeifel cycle path is in the immediate vicinity, as are premium hiking trails such as the Eifelsteig and interesting circular hiking trails. The Dreimühlen waterfall is a special destination at any time of the year. Discover the beautiful nature along a circular route and marvel at the growing waterfall. The nearby Café Nohner Mühle invites you to linger with coffee, delicious waffles or cake.
