A learning and event venue that sets entirely new standards opened in spring 2020 at the popular location of the old youth hostel Schleiden-Gemünd. Nestled in a valley rich in forest and water, in the Eifel National Park, the building with its impressive wooden façade and large transparent window areas fits perfectly into the surrounding nature. The youth hostel is one of the certified national park hosts and is thus the ideal base for numerous outdoor activities. School classes not only learn a lot about the Eifel National Park and its animal and plant life in Gemünd Vogelsang, but they also benefit from the proximity to the "International Place Vogelsang". The 100-hectare site of the former NS-Ordensburg Vogelsang is now a modern extracurricular learning and cultural event venue. Therefore, cooperation with the "International Place Vogelsang" for school trip offers is even stronger than before. Program offerings around the themes of tolerance, respect, and prevention are supplemented by historically political programs and components. Choirs, music, and conference groups appreciate exclusive work opportunities with nature-oriented after-work experiences at the youth hostel Gemünd Vogelsang. Thanks to the unique location on the edge of the village and forest, the new youth hostel Gemünd Vogelsang is also very attractive for families and those seeking relaxation. Our cozy, 3-star family-run, DTV classified house is about 72m2 in size. It has two floors and offers enough space for 3 adults and a child as well as a baby enough space. It has a bathroom with shower (hairdryer available), a living room with pull-out couch and a flat screen TV. A master bedroom with a double bed and a flat screen TV. One bedroom with a single bed; a children's half-high bed and a baby crib + changing mat. The kitchen is equipped with a modern stove (ceramic hob) incl. oven, dishwasher, refrigerator, freezer compartment, coffee filter machine, kettle, microwave and a toaster. microwave and a toaster. A high chair is of course also available for our younger guests. In addition, there is a playhouse on stilts, a sandpit and a barbecue area in the adjoining garden, which invites you to linger. A parking space is reserved for you close to the house. Pets are NOT allowed in our non-smoking apartment. A ladies s.w. Men's and children's bicycles are on site and can be used free of charge.
