Lama & Alpaka Spaziergang (individuell)

In this enjoyable discovery, you are just you with an alpaca, a llama, and the guide. The approximately one-hour walk leads along natural paths to the castle ruins without significant elevation changes. To conclude, you will spend extra time in the meadow, where you will get to know our youngest alpaca, Tutun.

Walk

The alpacas and llamas of the eifelnomaden graze directly below the Schönecken Castle on a traditional fruit meadow. There, we get to know the animals in a relaxed manner and learn how to handle these patient and curious creatures. Then our llama and alpaca walk begins at the nature reserve "Schönecker Schweiz"!

Our walk takes us around the ridge "Rammenfeld". Initially, we walk along a paved path out of the village. Just behind the last houses, we find ourselves on a grassy natural path, enjoying the expansive view of the fields and meadows at Burbach. Next, we walk along a fruit meadow above the Altburgbach. Here we take a short break and have time to take photos with the animals. A highlight of our hike is shortly after the ruins of Schönecken Castle, whose two massive towers rise high above Schönecken. Passing by Wilhelmshöhe, we return to our pasture after our leisurely walk of about an hour with minimal elevation changes.
Upon arrival, the grazing time begins: We take off the harnesses of the animals and give them delicious hay to eat. With a bit of luck, you can continue to pet the animals or even brush them. Enjoy the calmness and serenity of the animals in their familiar environment!

What to bring: sturdy footwear, day backpack, water bottle, weather-appropriate clothing, headgear (depending on the season for sun, rain, or cold)

Participants: exclusive, individual event for a small group with a maximum of 4 people

Requirements: No special fitness required (total distance approximately 3 km, elevation change 20 m), minimum age for handling an animal: 10 years. Participation under 18 years only when accompanied by an adult. Unfortunately, dogs cannot be brought along.
