The name of our house is no coincidence... Enjoy the open view in an absolutely quiet location right on the edge of the forest in Bermel.
We invite you to spend your vacation in the midst of nature without the hustle and bustle and noise.

Lace up your hiking boots and explore one of the 26 dream trails in the Rhine-Moselle-Eifel region. The "Hochbermeler" dream trail leads right past our front door. Germany's most beautiful hiking trail of 2011, the "Monrealer Ritterschlag", is just a few minutes' walk from our vacation home. The natural paths lead to wildly romantic castles, impressive gorges and stream valleys as well as fantastic viewpoints of the volcanic Eifel and the Rhine and Moselle valleys.

Our vacation home is not only ideally located for a hiking vacation. The world-famous Nürburgring, for example, is just a 15-minute drive away.
The Eifel town of Mayen, famous throughout the region for its slate mining and castle festival, is just a 10-minute drive away.
Koblenz, which hosted the 2011 Federal Garden Show and was visited by more than 3 million guests, is just 30 minutes away. Visit the Deutsches Eck, Ehrenbreitstein Fortress, the historic old town and the Electoral Palace. Koblenz also invites you to stroll and store at any time of year.
Trier, the oldest city in Germany, can be easily reached in just 45 minutes. Explore the Roman city or take a trip to the neighboring Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.
The famous Moselle excursion destination of Cochem is just a 20-minute drive away. Discover the beauty of the Moselle valley with its many medieval castles and steep vineyards.

Shopping opportunities can be found in Schönecken. Excursion options in the surrounding area, e.g. Prüm or Bitburg.     Welcome to the "GLÜCKSNEST" - the jewel between the Eifel and Moselle This lovingly renovated old farmhouse radiates a unique cosiness that creates the perfect setting for a relaxing holiday. surrounded by a spacious garden with an enchanted pond, a terrace with barbecue area invites you to enjoy nature. The property offers space for carefree hours outdoors - be it for breakfast in the sunshine, a cosy dinner in the open air or cooling off in the natural swimming pond. Inside, you will find a harmonious combination of traditional charm and comfort. The open-plan kitchen offers plenty of space for cooking together, while the cosy living area with wood-burning stove invites you to spend relaxing hours. The light-flooded winter garden with a spacious dining area and views of the countryside creates the perfect setting for sociability. Upstairs you will find a bedroom with double bed (1.60m) that can be darkened, a small bathroom and a spacious, open-plan sleeping area (double bed 2 m) with a gallery and sofa bed (1.40 m), which is perfect for relaxing hours of reading or as an additional sleeping area. Nestled between the Moselle and Eifel, the "Glücksnest" is the ideal starting point for numerous discovery tours. Visit the historic city of Trier, the oldest city in Germany, with its impressive remains from the Roman past, such as the Porta Nigra, the basilica and the medieval cathedral. Along the Moselle, picturesque wine villages such as Bernkastel-Kues and Traben-Trabach beckon, and neighbouring Luxembourg is also worth a visit. The small village of Hetzerath has a train station, bus stop, bakery, butcher's shop, supermarket, pub with beer garden and an ice cream parlor. The surrounding area offers a wide range of leisure activities: Hiking on picturesque Eifel, Moselle or Hunsrück trails, cycling for all abilities, swimming in the outdoor pool or the natural swimming pools of the Eifelmaare.
