Welcome to the "Eifelrose" holiday home

Quietly situated in a small suburb, the newly renovated holiday flat on 70 sqm offers everything 2-4 people need for a nice holiday.

In Ulmen, 3km away, you will find everything for your daily needs, such as bakers, butchers and supermarkets. There are also restaurants, snack bars and an ice cream parlour in the village.

In addition to the castle ruins, you can see and explore not only the youngest maar in Central Europe (Ulmener Maar) but also the oldest maar in Germany (Jungferweiher). Since April 2023, it has also been possible to walk through the Ulmen maar tunnel, the connection between the two maars that was built in the Middle Ages. The multi-award-winning "Wilde Endert" hiking trail also starts here and takes you all the way to Cochem.

There is also a lot to explore in the surrounding area, e.g. the Daun maars, Manderscheid with its castles and the castle climbing trail, newly opened in 2023, Cochem with the imposing Reichsburg castle and the Nürburgring is only 20km away.

Whether hiking, cycling (there are special cycle buses here) or simply relaxing, there is something for everyone in the Vulkaneifel.

    The approximately 90 m² house "Schöne Aussicht am Eifelsteig" in the district of Widdau offers space for 6 people, it is equipped with 3 separate bedrooms (1 double room, 2 single rooms, 1 sofa bed in the living room). 1 bathroom with shower bath, sink and toilet. An additional guest toilet is available. Two further sinks are in the bedrooms. The modern kitchen is fully equipped: dishwasher, electric stove with ceramic hob and oven, refrigerator, freezer, kettle, microwave, filter coffee machine and all the usual tools. Living and dining room with open fireplace and satellite TV. There is also the exit to one of the two terraces; from the southwest terrace you can enjoy a fantastic view of the beautiful Rur valley and in the evening you have a wonderful view of the clear starry sky. A large, east-facing terrace is ideal for a sunny breakfast. Two outdoor terraces/garden furniture, lounge area in the courtyard and charcoal grill available. Use of the garage is free. Parking spaces available at the house. Free WiFi. Non-smoking house No pets allowed!

    The village of Berinsteyn, first mentioned in a document in 1359, lies on the heights of the Hürtgenwald on the edge of the Eifel National Park. The Hürtgenwald Museum provides a wealth of information about the history of both the village and the surrounding area. At the information points in the national park, you can obtain further information on the flora and fauna, as well as on how to use nature for hiking, cycling, canoeing on the Rur and much more!     Our hotel is located between castles and palaces, swamps and unspoilt nature - in the middle of the beautiful Vulkaneifel in the small Eifel town Manderscheid and is an ideal starting point for anyone who wants to spend their holidays in the Vulkaneifel. Hikers, mountain bikers and motorcyclists will especially enjoy our unique landscape (lockable carport for approx. 25 motorcycles or approx. 40 MTBs). We are happy to give you tips and route tips with extensive maps.
