Giescheid is a small, tranquil village at 652 m above sea level with about 100 inhabitants in the municipality of Hellenthal. The village is characterised by idyllic tranquillity, without traffic noise, as no through road leads through the village. However, the neighbouring village of Rescheid (approx. 1 km) with its inn and bakery and the main town of Hellenthal (approx. 6 km) can be reached in a few minutes. The holiday flat (non-smoking flat)is located on the first floor and offers with approx. 70 sqm enough space for up to four persons.It consists of a living room, kitchen, shower/WC, hallway and two bedrooms (double rooms). One bedroom is a passage room. Our guest rooms have shower/WC and SAT-TV.Start your holiday day in the Eifel National Park with a hearty breakfast in our comfortably furnished lounge.Our rooms are non-smoking rooms. 

There are around 15 motorhome pitches available directly below the dam wall on Lake Kronenburg, which are also suitable for large motorhomes. The pitches are very quiet, partly parceled out and have an electricity connection. A supply and disposal column can be accessed above the pitch. Next to the pitch is the extensive leisure area with mini golf and playground, and the bathing area at Lake Kronenburg is just a few minutes' walk away.A wide range of tourist attractions can be reached from the pitch: The historic castle town of Kronenburg, 10 different circular hiking trails, the Kyll cycle path.

The holiday apartment "Zum alten Landrat" is located in the heart of the old town. It is a maisonette apartment with an internal staircase to the upper floor. The apartment is located in a listed quarry stone house. The rooms are spacious and bright. The partially exposed roof beams create a cozy atmosphere. In the sleeping area there are two double rooms and a triple room. An additional folding bed can be set up on an open gallery. The kitchen is large and fully equipped, including a dishwasher. There is a bathroom with toilet, sink and shower tray. There is also a toilet with sink. The living/dining area has satellite TV, radio with CD player and plenty of seating. There is space for bicycles in the entrance area of the house. Our house is located on a mountainside.It is only a few steps to the forest and a 10-minute walk to the village center. The ascent to our house is steep, the view correspondingly impressive - unless you are from Tyrol...The vacation apartments are on the first floor. Meadow and barbecue area are included.Many beautiful hiking trails pass by here. You can relax and unwind in wonderful peace and quiet.
