    Welcome to our beautifully renovated holiday home in the picturesque Monreal! Monreal is a small, idyllic village in the Eifel region, close to Mosel and Rhein rivers with their gorgeous sceneries. In 2004, Monreal was voted the most beautiful village in Germany and you will be truly enchanted during your visit by the beauty of that small village.  The house is located in the historic centre of Monreal and you can enjoy our old castle view from all of the comfortable rooms we offer. We preserved the old substance of the house for you to enjoy the atmosphere of the old townhouse and travel back in time with its historic decoration and wall details. Your holiday in Astorius house will combine history with modernity in its quirky and full of character design and exposed stones. The house offers three separate apartments to allow you for your intimacy but you can also share your time with other house mates should you be part of a group.  The house history was also marked in a book by Friedrich Hermes:"Monreal, Grabenstraße 9. The history of a house and its inhabitants":  ... Where now runs the grave street in the medieval town Monreal was the moat that protected the city on the west side from unwanted intruders. After the destruction of Monreal castles by the troops of the French King Louis XIV in 1689, gardens were created in the filled ditch. The house is partly still using the rubble of the former medieval town walls… The house has three separate units, each heated by a floor heating.Furthermore, each apartment is equipped with central vacuum, flat screen TV and Wi-Fi.All apartments are provided on arrival with fresh linen, towels and dishtowels.The holiday home is an animal- and smoke-free house.

    For cycling and hiking enthusiasts, the apartment is an ideal starting point for many hiking and cycling tours through beautiful Eifel landscapes. Circular hiking trails in the immediate vicinity from 6 to 22 km can be found under Wanderwelt-Nordeifel/Eifelschleifen and Wanderwelt-Nordeifel/Eifelspuren. 4 stages of the Eifelsteig are in the immediate vicinity of the apartment. Cyclists will find 16 themed circular tours in the Eifel cycle loops to explore the North Eifel by bike. With the new cycle junction system, you can plan your own tours. Further information can be found on the homepage of Nordeifel Tourismus GmbH and in the tour planner of Outdooractive.Not far away runs the Kyllrad, Ahrrad, Erft cycle path and the Eifel Heights Route. The Eifel National Park and the nearby Olef, Urft and Rur dams invite you to take a trip. It is not far to the romantic Ahr valley or to the pretty towns of Bad Münstereifel and Monschau. Sports and leisure facilities, such as a go-kart track in Schmidtheim (8km), a gyrofoil flight on the Dahlemer Binz (8km), climbing facility on Lake Kronenburg (14 km), a game reserve with a bird of prey station in Hellenthal are not far away. In the comfortable living room, a high-quality designer kitchen convinces with many positive amenities. A leather sofa to relax and enjoy the ambience fits stylishly into the overall picture. Smart TV / 43 inch, internet radio and free W-Lan in the entire house are a matter of course. Underfloor heating provides comfort and well-being and delights with pleasant warmth. Those who like it cosier can heat the stove in the living room, which fits perfectly into the picture. The apartment is approx. 70 square meters, has its own entrance, is barrier-free and is located in a rural and quiet location. Through large windows it is very bright and flooded with light. It has a living room, a kitchen, a bedroom and a bathroom. The living room is furnished with a leather couch, height-adjustable coffee table, television and carefree internet. The kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge freezer, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, kettle, egg cooker and toaster. In the bedroom there is a box spring bed 2ma 2 meters tall.
