Rieden Lake View Short Quality Walking Trail


The Rieden Lake View (“Riedener Seeblick”) Short Quality Walking Trail is a shorter version of the Rieden Forest Lake Quality Walking Trail.

From the car park next to the Rieden reservoir lake, the route first takes you uphill through the holiday home settlement by the lake. After around 1.6 kilometres, passing through forest and meadows, you reach the highest point on the tour, the Udelsheck viewpoint. Here, the “dream seats” offer the perfect place for a rest. The route then passes a forest and continues towards Rieden, where you briefly skirt along the edge of the town, and can refresh your feet in the Kneipp basin or quench your thirst at the Sauerbrunnen spring in Rieden. The tour takes you back to the starting point via the path along the lake shore. There are places to eat and drink by the lake and in Rieden. The lake is a good place to take a swim during the summer months.
