On the way with hiking guide Manfred Schmitt: he takes you to curiosities such as the Bauchbütt, tells you about smugglers and stone crushers and how a farmer found the ruins of a Roman villa while ploughing. You will get to know the magnificent Bollendorf Castle as well as a 200-year-old beech tree, find out what the Bildcheslay is all about and look out over the Sûre Valley to Luxembourg from the "Fahnenstange" vantage point.

After the hike, you can stop off at one of the hosts in Bollendorf.

The loop trail starts at the town hall in Fusenich. From there you walk through the lovely town towards Trierweiler. The path leads up through a quiet residential area towards the motorway. Along the ridge, with a view over wide meadows, you reach the viewpoint "auf der First". Shortly after the ridge the way leads down to Gelbach. The way leads back to the starting point through an adventurous forest.
