The second section starts in the scenic expanses of the Brohltal, featuring beautiful views of medieval Olbrück Castle and two true spectacles of nature: the Rodder Maar and Lake Königssee. Want to go for a little detour? A round of swingolf, the golf sport for everyone, will feel like a pleasant slowdown in front of a gorgeous backdrop.

Outside of the forest passages, the Eifelleiter offers fascinating views of volcanic openings. These are living witnesses of the past. Far away in the distance, Olbrück Castle, the Brohltal’s landmark, watches over hikers like a constant companion, while the soft forest soil makes you feel truly in touch with nature. And if you keep silent enough, you might be lucky and see a few deer.

It is a very old road, the Kohlstraße – a main artery in ancient Roman times - that leads you to the town of Spessart. This is where the second section ends. But if you are up for a few kilometers more, you can go and enjoy the forest adventure trail of Erlebniswald Steinrausch and then head to the next town of Kempenich.
