Hikers can follow the enchanting Lieserpfad trail from its marshy source near Boxberg to where it flows into the Moselle at the town of Lieser. Over four stages, they’ll witness how the water has powerfully carved its way through the volcanic landscape. Maars, castles, and mills line the trail. A beautiful setting!

Time and again, benches in peaceful spots offer the chance to rest tired feet for a while and enjoy some of the provisions you’ve brought along. Once the hiker reaches the Moselle, they can look back with pride on a total distance of 74 kilometers. And perhaps they’ll then agree with a smile on their face with Manuel Andrack, who hailed the Lieserpfad as the “most beautiful hiking trail in the world” in one of his books.
