Bornheim-Brenig - Brühl

At the start of stage 6 of the Roman Canal Trail, you will soon pass through small villages with remarkable historical buildings. The route then leads back into a large wooded area with romantically situated large and small lakes. It is not easy to imagine that you are in the middle of a former open-cast mining area and very close to Bonn and Cologne. The lake landscape is a fine example of successful renaturation measures.
