Circular trail 53 - to the Tisza tree, the old oak tree of Kalterherberg
From the Eifeldom in Kalterherberg, this approximately 8 km long circular trail takes you through meadows, fields and quiet villages - past old crosses and the "Am Breedeberg" rest stop. The destination is the Theißbaum natural monument, a mighty oak tree that has watched over the land for centuries. Standing beneath its branches, you can sense history - and the tranquillity of the Rur-Eifel.
A trail with great views and no major inclines, perfect for anyone who loves nature and stories.
