The Kyll - a true paradise for fly fishing!The Kyll arises from the confluence of several source streams near the Belgian border. It is dammed to the Kronenburger See, continues to flow to Gerolstein and then swings south to the Moselle. Our fishing area is multifaceted and has several levels of difficulty, from a pure meadow stream to a densely overgrown river. Fish species: grayling, brown trout, chub, pike, white fish Guest angler season: March 16th to October 14thRoute: The fishing area covers a river length of 15 km between Kronenburg, Stadtkyll and Jünkerath, divided into two lots marked with signs.

A short, relaxed circular route that combines historical traces, idyllic scenery and small humorous highlights. The route passes the former Protestant school, witnesses to pre-industrial mining and several memorials from two centuries - ideal for an evening stroll.

Dear Guest,   We warmly welcome you to the Waldhotel Machtemes-Mühle, located in the southern Eifel in the romantic Irsental, one of the most beautiful landscapes in Rheinland-Pfalz. As the name Machtemes-Mühle suggests, this was once the location of a mill - more precisely, a Lohmühle, which was first mentioned in a document in the 17th century. Here you can enjoy the almost untouched nature in the footsteps of the Lohgerber in the heart of the Deutsch-Luxemburgischer Naturpark and relax ……. let the soul dandle. Kilometers of natural hiking trails lead you along the Irsen-creek  into the "valley of 1 000 butterflies", into an oasis of well-deserved relaxation for body and soul - here the world is still in order, here nature may still be nature. Not far from the Luxembourg border (6 kilometers), the Naturpark-region invites you to visit its sights - the medieval castle Kasselburg, the zoo "Eifelzoo" and the waterworks in Vianden (L) or the copper mine in Stolzembourg (L) , Children love to have fun in the outdoor swimming pool in Neuerburg or try riding in the nearby riding Stable.
