Lake Freilingen, embedded in the beautiful landscape of the Eifel, offers relaxation, cooling and fun in the midst of the local nature - and all this with the highest water quality.
On an area of more than 6,000 m², the barefoot and generation park Schmidtheim invites young and old to relax. Tickle the senses with a tour of the barefoot park. With its 15 stations, it offers a very special experience not only for your feet.
Embedded in the forest and mountain landscape of the Eifel, you can experience the animals up close all year round! From small inhabitants, such as cute coatis, to "wild" big cats, to the big stag, visitors can observe animals at eye level. Around 60 animal species in the northern hemisphere and Australia, i.e. a total of approx. 400 animals, live on 30 hectares in the Eifel Zoo.
Fun and sportiness are offered by the good-natured and very capsize-proof open double kayaks-in which canoeing can be learned in a short time. The Rur, with its numerous sweeping waters, sills and small rapids, is a popular area for beginners.
