Port Haus

The Teufelsloch is an impressive narrow gorge near Bollendorf. Above the gorge, a staircase leads to a viewing point with a beautiful view of Bollendorf.

Between the three Eifel towns of Müllenbach, Laubach and Leienkaul lies the spectacular Kaulenbach Valley, where quality roofing slate was once mined.

If you hike the "Pyrmonter Felsensteig" dream path, you will reach the highest point of the hike on the Sammetzkopf. The summit cross is visible from afar and is illuminated in the dark. The view from the Sammetzkopf over to Münstermaifeld with its imposing collegiate church and the volcanoes of the Eastern Eifel is also wide.

Nideggen Castle looks back on an eventful history and is a unique cultural monument to the history of the Middle Ages in the Rhineland and the Eifel.

The former Premonstratensian monastery from the 12th century is located in the austere Eifel landscape, in the middle of the "High Fens" nature park, right on the German-Belgian border. The complex, which includes over 32 hectares of forest and a fish pond, is located on a rock plateau at the mouth of the Rur, which meanders in the valley between Kalterherberg and Eschweide, and the Ermesbach. It is 7 km to the picturesque town of Monschau.
