Adventure museum Lernort Natur - for big and small animal lovers!
At the Lernort Natur adventure museum, you can go on the hunt and experience the wildlife of the Eifel and the journey continues to Africa to see giraffes, antelopes and leopards.
The museum is a real treasure trove for nature lovers of all ages.
animals are presented in various habitats. We learn which animals are at home in the Eifel, in the mountains and in the water, field and forest habitats.
Many curious specimens show the development of insects and mammals, for example. Our explorers are particularly enthusiastic about the variety of over 1000 exhibits of native and exotic animals, which you can also touch. We see animals from the garden or forest and explore what else creeps and flies there.
In summer, we can observe a colony of bees and ants.
Various stations, such as memory drawers and feel boxes, invite young and old visitors to play. Very young visitors love crawling through the badger burrow and making impressions of animal feet in clay.
Our visitors can work their way through the exhibition with the question/answer rally, which was actually developed for young researchers - an alternative to a guided tour.
In addition to the "classic" visit, you can also book guided tours by the hour, including themed tours on request.
Our tip: the themed days during the summer vacations are a combination of a visit to the museum and experiences in the natural surroundings of Monschau. As a rule, these are half-day or full-day offers. Please register in advance for guided tours and theme days.
Welcome, we look forward to seeing you! Good hunting!
