Bettingen castle ruin


Only sparse remains of the castle and the old city wall are preserved today. Built by the lords of Falkenstein. The restored castle ruins and the inhabited Vogthaus at Burgstraße 25 were built in the 13th century by the Lords of Falkenstein.

    The bronze model of the city of Bitburg can be found at Spittel Square in the pedestrian area. It was donated by Dr.-Hanns-Simon-Stiftung and shows the layout of the modern city centre. Especially blind people get an accurate impression of their surroundings. Place names in Braille add further detail to the model.
