Eifel-Blick "Hemgenberg"

This "Eifel view" is located on the 253-metre-high Hemgenberg to the west of the Kreuzau district of Winden.

In a north-easterly direction, you can enjoy a distant view over the Kreuzau district to the Zülpicher Börde and the Ville.
On a clear day, it may be possible to spot Cologne Cathedral on the horizon.

From Düren and the Cologne area, take the L 249 to Kreuzau, then change to the K 39 towards Obermaubach, turn right in Winden - directly behind the Rurbrücke bridge - and follow the road to the end of the village and the parking lot at the cemetery.
From Heimbach via the L 249 and K 32 to Kreuzau-Winden, after the Rurbrücke bridge turn right onto the K 30 to Winden, before leaving the village and the Rurbrücke bridge to Kreuzau turn left onto the K 39 and follow the road to the end of the village and the parking lot at the cemetery.
From Aachener Land and Monschauer Land via the B 399 to Gey, then change to the K 31 towards Untermaubach. In Untermaubach, follow the K 30 to Kreuzau, enter Winden, turn left onto the K 39 before leaving the village and crossing the Rurbrücke bridge to Kreuzau and follow the road to the end of the village and the parking lot at the cemetery.
From the Bonn area via the B 56 to Soller, after the village change to the K 28 in the direction of Kreuzau, change there to the K 39 in the direction of Obermaubach, in Winden - directly after the Rurbrücke bridge - turn right and follow the road to the end of the village and the parking lot at the cemetery.

The "Eifel-Blick" is located on HWW 5 (Willibrordusweg) of the Eifelverein as well as on the local circular route 5 and can be reached via these from the cemetery parking lot. Follow the additional signposting "Eifel-Blick".

The "Eifel-Blick" is not far from the RurUfer-Radweg, the Kaiser-Route, the Wasserburgen-Route and the Naturpark-Route.
