Our world of experience
Gerolsteiner Brunnen
Visit us in our new adventure world and experience at first hand through interactive stations what makes our traditional mineral water and Gerolsteiner's history so special.
Who actually found the water?
In the 1880s, geologist Wilhelm Castendyck set out in search of natural carbon dioxide and came across the very first Gerolsteiner mineral water spring by chance. He then took a sample of the water to Prof. Dr. Carl Remigius Fresenius (the most renowned chemist of his time and founder of today's Fresenius Institute). This sample showed that the water was not only full of natural carbon dioxide, but also rich in valuable minerals. This fantastic assessment led to the founding of the Gerolsteiner brand on January 1, 1888.
Find out in our world of experience how the history of Gerolsteiner mineral water continued, what makes our mineral water so special and how simple rain becomes valuable mineral water.
And how does the mineral water get into the bottle?
