Above the spa garden, naturally occurring Buxus Sempervirens (evergreen boxwood), popularly known as "Palm", grow on the slope. It is one of the largest areas of boxwood north of the Alps.

Stage 3: Niederburg The stage starts at the tournament meadow in the steep rock directly below the majestic keep.

Host Nationalpark EIFEL The "Schafbachmühle" is a very quiet nature site far away from the main road in a wooded valley. A stream with ponds provides a varied and unique natural setting. Dear guests, Welcome to Hotel Schönblick. On the edge of the Eifel National Park between Schleiden and Blankenheim, we warmly welcome you to our family-run hotel. You can explore the national park on your own on the hiking and cycling trails or join the guided tours led by the national park rangers. The idea of the national park is to let nature run free.If you want to relax after a long hike, a visit to a romantic Eifel town is a good idea. Monschau, for example, invites you to take a stroll past the historic half-timbered houses. In addition to the "Red House" with its original furnishings from the cloth-making era and the "Mustard Museum", the castle offers an impressive view of the narrow, winding alleyways. Bad Münstereifel with its "City Outlets" within its historic town walls also attracts thousands of visitors every year. You can also visit the historic Kronenburg, Heimbach and Nideggen with their romantic houses and cobbled streets.
