Stage 1 of a total of 7 stages along the old Roman water pipeline. The hike leads from Nettersheim to Kall-Dottel.
This circular trail offers around 9 kilometers of unique heathland, idyllic mixed forests and babbling brooks. The Heidbüchel nature reserve offers fantastic views over the Eifel heights and between April and May, the gorse hedges bloom in bright yellow. The "Historic School Trail" is marked by the hiking logo of the local community of Arft with a blue dot.

Steinerberg - to the roof of the Ahr Mountains The hike over the 531 m high Steinerberg offers magnificent views with varied, sometimes steep ascents and descents.
Start is at the sports field in Udelfangen. From there it goes in the direction of Kersch, along the Katzbach, past former quarries, through an untouched forest piece. The tour passes through the small village of Kerscherbach. The path leads to Trierweiler via meadows and paddocks. Over the highest peak "the Mohrenkopf" the way goes through a quiet forest back to Udelfangen.
