Bus day trip from/to the museum railway station Ahütte with a visit to the Brexbachtalbahn including a tour of a former signal box, a guided tour of the DB Museum Koblenz, and a visit to the Hunsrückbahn Museum in Emmelshausen, where participants can look forward to the video of a driver’s cab ride from Emmelshausen to Simmern, among other things. Fare 79 EUR early bird until July 11, then 89 EUR. Children and young people travel accompanied by adults for only 9 EUR per person! Wednesdays | The moderately difficult hike in the Eifel National Park leads from the Abbey of Mariawald into the beech nature forests and the habitat of the woodpeckers. It is suitable for children and off-road strollers.

Bus shuttle from/to Ahütte to a rail bus ride from the museum station in the style of the 1960s along the Saar route to Merzig, where there is a connection to the "replacement transport" to Losheim am See. In Losheim am See, a lunch break (included in the fare) as well as a tour of the railway post museum and the operational facilities with the locomotive shed, steam locomotives, and historic rolling stock are offered. Fare is 109 EUR, with an additional 10 EUR for the bus shuttle from/to the museum station. We walk from the car park at the sports field in Meerfeld up to the Mosenberg. After a short stop at the Hinkelsmaar, we walk to the only mountain crater lake north of the Alps, the Windsborn. The hike is in German.
