The two bathing lakes in Echtz and Gürzenich are the highlights of this guided cycle tour, which takes you along the green Rur on the signposted "Dürener Seenrunde" circular tour through various districts of Düren. Along the way, you will pass through the Merkener Busch nature reserve, stop at the viewpoint of the Inden open-cast mine and discover the more rural corners of the city. Among other things, you will learn interesting facts about the development of the lakes, current and former opencast lignite mines and the importance of paper production for Düren.

The Weibern Tuff Museum is a small local history museum in the former listed railroad station in the Eifel municipality of Weibern. Bring 1 1/2 to 2 hours with you and you will learn a lot about tuff, volcanism, the Brohl valley and the village of Weibern. Tuff has been quarried in Weibern since Roman times. You will get to see an original stonemason's hut with the stonemasons' tools.
