Located on the outskirts of Schmidt, right at the boundary of the Eifel National Park, the house Anne (semi-detached) combines relaxation in the forest with a magnificent view over the Rur Lake. The house accommodates four to six people. Two terraces invite you to sunbathe. The fully equipped kitchen has a serving hatch to the friendly dining room. From there, you enter a bright, cozy living room furnished with a sofa and armchair. Numerous hiking trails pass right by the house. The log cabin forms a unit with the neighboring house, which is privately used by the landlords. House Anne has a separate entrance. Our cozy bright apartment is on the ground floor and has a separate entrance. There is an open kitchen/living area with a sofa bed, a barrier-free bathroom with a shower and a bedroom with a double bed. The terrace is barrier-free and invites you to relax and feel good. A parking space is available free of charge. Located in the beautiful volcanic Eifel, it is an ideal starting point for walks, long hikes or bike tours on the Maare-Moselle cycle path. Ideally located for hikers, cyclists or bikers. The "Eyes of the Eifel", the Holzmaar, Pulvermaar, Schalkenmehrener Maar, Weinfelder Maar and Gemündener Maar are within a radius of approx. 10 km and invite you to walk, swim or go boating. Hiking trails such as the Eifelsteig, Lieserpfad and Heimatspuren can be reached in the immediate vicinity. Day trips to Germany's oldest city, to Trier or to the Moselle, to Koblenz to the border triangle or to the Nürburgring can be reached by car in one to two hours. The motorway junctions Mehren/Vulkaneifel and Manderscheid are only approx. 12 km away. You can reach the train station Wittlich/Wengerohr in approx. 35 km, from here excursions to the Saar loop, to the Moselle or to Cologne are possible with many connections. Shops can be found in Gillenfeld (approx. 5 km) or in Daun (approx. 10 km). Please note that there are no shops or restaurants in the village itself. On request and against payment of costs, we can therefore fill the fridge for you before your arrival. If required, a second small apartment for 1-2 people is available in town and can be arranged. Welcome to the village station of the 20th century. The accommodation in the cultural monument "historical station Üxheim-Ahütte" is a museum station that opened in 2023, exactly 50 years after the cessation of railway operations. Here, time has literally stood still, as if the last passenger just departed, the last ticket was sold, and the last cargo was loaded. The station can now be experienced in its original form, just as it was during the days of railway operation. Various guest rooms are available in the former service areas, some with historical furnishings and reconstructed original wall colors. However, they are equipped with the comforts of today: All rooms include a shower/WC (new from 2023), TV, and Wi-Fi. For those who prefer older media, there is also a wealth of railway literature from long-gone railway times. In the former service rooms, the guests' culinary needs are catered to today. The specialty of our station gastronomy is pancakes as well as homemade cakes & tarts. Common areas in the station gastronomy can be made available for guests during operating hours upon request (no private beverages & food allowed. Sale of beverages & food by station staff). As leisure activities, the crime puzzle "The Disappearing Suitcase" and/or a crime role-playing game with dinner can also be booked upon request. Welcome, to Rosige Zeiten, holidays at the half-timbered farmhouse! We rent our listed and lovingly renovated half-timbered farmhouse from 1600 in the historic center of Kommern. The enclosed courtyard, terrace, and garden provide relaxation and recreation. We have furnished our little house with selected antique furniture that ensures no comfort is missing. The individual décor creates a cozy atmosphere that distracts from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Low ceilings, slanted walls and floors, and steep stairs characterize a half-timbered house. Our small farmhouse offers 75sqm of living space. On the ground floor, there is a kitchen, a living room with a wood stove, and a bathroom. On the first floor, there are 3 bedrooms. One has a double bed, while the other two each offer a single bed.In the outdoor area, there is an additional toilet that can be used in the summer.
