This is us

We, Sabine and Thomas Kuck and our three children, welcome you to our family-run guest house on the edge of the High Fens, the largest and still intact upland moor in Europe. Our guesthouse, which was built in 2013 and extended in 2020, is located on the outskirts of Mützenich, in the municipality of the picturesque town of Monschau.
Our guesthouse has been classified with four guesthouse stars by DeHoGa Düsseldorf. We are also certified by the adfc "bett & bike" and a recognized host "Wanderbares Deutschland".
There are two good restaurants within walking distance. You will find further culinary offerings in Monschau, four kilometers away, as well as in the neighboring communities of Simmerath and Roetgen.

What we offer

Are you looking for rest and relaxation or would you like to actively discover the nature of the Eifel and Ardennes? Are you planning a trip to the medieval town of Monschau, the Eifel National Park or would you like to discover one of the traditional cities such as Aachen or Maastricht? Then we are the ideal starting point for your activities. Whether you are traveling alone or in a group, we offer the right accommodation.
In addition to free parking directly at the house, you can store your bicycles and motorcycles in our garage on request.
While the "little ones" let off steam on our playground with trampoline and soccer goal, the "grown-ups" can relax on our comfortable seating or loungers within sight.

In our new cozy breakfast room, you can start the day fresh and rested with a wonderful view of nature.

Enjoy our breakfast buffet daily from 8 - 10 am. In addition to fresh rolls and bread from the local bakery and regional sausage and cheese specialties, we also offer homemade jams and honey from the Eifel beekeeper. Our rich breakfast buffet includes various types of muesli, seasonal fruit and vegetables and ... eggs from our own hens. We also serve fresh coffee, various types of tea and milk.

Groups:

Groups are very welcome in our house. We are happy to provide you with our cozy breakfast room as a lounge in the evening. We look forward to your inquiry and will be happy to assist you with your planning. Please do not hesitate to contact us.

Nims cycle path in the immediate vicinity.

    Hotel Hilgers

    Düren

    The Hotel Hilgers is located in the prestigious district of Gürzenich, near the Voreifel behind Düren, just 5 minutes from the Düren Golf Club and the Gürzenich bathing lake in the border triangle between Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands. Our hotel is located in a suburb of Düren about 15 minutes away from the highway A4 between Cologne and Aachen, exit Düren and is therefore particularly suitable for exploration tours through the German-Belgian Nature Park which begins directly behind it. The hotel has 6 individually furnished rooms with TV and 4 spacious multi-bed rooms with upscale furnishings. Just a 5-minute walk away, you can sample traditional local dishes in the nearby restaurant. Discover the many cycling and hiking trails in the area or take a walk along the Obermaubach reservoir, 10 minutes away, or the Rursee lake, which is known as the pearl of the Eifel due to its beauty and unique valley location. Hike along the Way of St. James from Düren to Schevenhütte or enjoy the 18-hole Düren golf course in the immediate vicinity to brush up on your handicap. Take advantage of the hotel's wonderful location and discover the city's shopping and leisure facilities. Of the local sights, the historic Leopold Hoesch Museum and adjoining paper museum are particularly recommended. 25 castles and just as many monasteries and churches as well as the world-famous Heinrich Böll House in Langenbroich are further attractions in the surrounding area. Visit the Annakirmes fair in the last week of July and take a day trip to the famous Nürburgring or Spa Francorchamps. Michael Schumacher's home town is only 30 minutes away by car.     Our holiday apartment "Steffi" is close to the center in the traffic-calmed street "Am Brückelchen". From here it's about a 5-minute walk to the entrance to your Eifelsteig hike. In the 10 minute walk, which is the center of the small town with indoor and outdoor pools, tennis, indoor tennis courts, riding arena, restaurants, local history and natural history museum, reservoir, Church of the Redeemer with Villa Sarabodis, etc. The vacation rental is on the first floor property house. It means you have an oasis of comfort in an area of 90 square meters, in which up to 4 people can leave everyday life behind. After a long, different day you have a book or a movie in the big life (satellite TV with flat screen). If you love to buy, this is a breeze in our fully controlled, enclosed kitchen. From the 5-plate ceramic hob to the oven, microwave, workstations, dishwasher, freezer, coffee maker, toaster, egg cooker, frying pans, saucepan and professional knife, everything is available. You have to enjoy the midday and evening sun on the covered balcony with teak furniture.     Your holiday flat is situated in a central yet quiet location in the middle of Daun. All important facilities, shops, restaurants, etc. are within walking distance. The holiday flat with 105 sqm of living space is located on the middle floor of the house and is accessed from the garden side, which cannot be seen.The garden with terrace and lawn is framed by a 4-metre high rampart wall, which encloses the Daun castle hill in a semicircle.The Maare-Mosel cycle path is only a few hundred metres away and easily accessible. The house has a spacious double garage with lockable parking for a car and bicycles, as well as its own parking spaces.
