Welcome to the village station of the 20th century. The accommodation in the cultural monument "historical station Üxheim-Ahütte" is a museum station that opened in 2023, exactly 50 years after the cessation of railway operations. Here, time has literally stood still, as if the last passenger just departed, the last ticket was sold, and the last cargo was loaded. The station can now be experienced in its original form, just as it was during the days of railway operation. Various guest rooms are available in the former service areas, some with historical furnishings and reconstructed original wall colors. However, they are equipped with the comforts of today: All rooms include a shower/WC (new from 2023), TV, and Wi-Fi. For those who prefer older media, there is also a wealth of railway literature from long-gone railway times. In the former service rooms, the guests' culinary needs are catered to today. The specialty of our station gastronomy is pancakes as well as homemade cakes & tarts. Common areas in the station gastronomy can be made available for guests during operating hours upon request (no private beverages & food allowed. Sale of beverages & food by station staff). As leisure activities, the crime puzzle "The Disappearing Suitcase" and/or a crime role-playing game with dinner can also be booked upon request. Host of the EIFEL regional brand Camping with a feel-good guarantee Our campsite in Wallendorf is located between Vianden and Echternach (Lux) in the middle of one of the most famous hiking areas of the German-Luxembourgish Southern Eifel Nature Park, close to the "Müllerthal". It is located directly at the confluence of the "Our" and the "Sauer", an ideal starting point for hikes, bicycle mountain bike tours or Nordic walking in the "Müllerthal", or the extensive forest area between Wallendorf and Bollendorf. There are plenty of opportunities for fishing in both rivers. Our campsite is ideal for families with children. Horse riding is available nearby. A small campfire by the water is also possible. A highlight of every vacation is a canoe trip on the Sauer. Canoes and mountain bikes can be hired on site. Should the weather not play along, there are many sightseeing opportunities in the surrounding area. Although centrally located, our campsite is a very quiet place. We pay attention to a friendly atmosphere. Our sanitary facilities meet the most modern requirements, cleanliness is a matter of course! A disabled washroom and baby changing room, washing machine and dryer are available. There are two playgrounds and a table tennis table for our younger guests. Fresh bread rolls can be ordered daily from the campsite warden. Overnight accommodation is also available in the adjoining inn and restaurant "am Häffchen" (Tel. 06566-932866). We offer 3 caravans for hire on the campsite itself. In the high season we offer an attractive entertainment program for children.
