Welcome to the Sommerhaus!The house was built over 100 years ago and was completely renovated and modernized in 2020. It is located in the quiet Eifel village of Höfen, the gateway to the Eifel National Park. The fitted kitchen is fully equipped, including a dishwasher, oven, ceramic hob, microwave, toaster, milk frother, fully automatic coffee machine, Philips Gourmet coffee machine, egg boiler, waffle iron, blender with accessories and of course various other cooking utensils.In the dining room there is a large real wood table with ample seating, a children's chair and a comfortable bench. In the living room there is a corner settee that can be converted into a double bed (1.40 x 2.20 m). The programmable and remote-controlled pellet stove creates a cozy atmosphere. A smart TV (WLAN and CI slot) is also available. In the "SPA area" there is a large sauna, two showers, several seating options, two washbasins, a urinal and a toilet. A hairdryer is also available. The entire lower floor (including the shower) is equipped with underfloor heating. Upstairs there are 4 bedrooms and a bathroom. The bedrooms are furnished with double beds (2 x 1.80 x 2.00 m / 2 x 1.60 x 2.00 m) and each with a Smart TV. One room is combined as a bedroom and playroom, with a pool table and foldaway bed, which can be folded up and down again if required. With the sleeping possibility in the living room, up to 10 people can spend a pleasant vacation in the summer house. A crib can be provided if required. The bathroom on the upper floor is also fully equipped with WC, washbasin and shower and of course a hairdryer. WLAN is available throughout the house and on the veranda and terrace. Towels, dish towels, high-quality bed linen, wood pellets and toilet paper are provided. Shower gel for hair and body is provided in the bathrooms. Washing-up liquid and dishwasher powder are also provided. Outside there is a terrace with seating and a barbecue as well as a large covered veranda, which can be lit and heated. Ideal for smokers. There are 4 parking spaces in front of the house. There are various shopping facilities in the immediate vicinity (Lidl, Aldi, Real, Kaufland etc. approx. 8 km away).Our house is located directly on the well-known Eifelsteig and invites you to beautiful hikes or bike tours. The historic old town of Monschau is 5 minutes away by car and the Rursee is approx. 25 km away. There are numerous excursion possibilities in the surrounding area, such as the Dreiländereck, Camp Vogelsang, the imperial city of Aachen or the Nürburgring.The house is a non-smoking house; pets are not allowed. Our house is located in the North Eifel Nature Park between Nideggen and Heimbach. Good train connection from Düren to Heimbach. Family business. Lounge and TV room.

For cycling and hiking enthusiasts, the apartment is an ideal starting point for many hiking and cycling tours through beautiful Eifel landscapes. Circular hiking trails in the immediate vicinity from 6 to 22 km can be found under Wanderwelt-Nordeifel/Eifelschleifen and Wanderwelt-Nordeifel/Eifelspuren. 4 stages of the Eifelsteig are in the immediate vicinity of the apartment. Cyclists will find 16 themed circular tours in the Eifel cycle loops to explore the North Eifel by bike. With the new cycle junction system, you can plan your own tours. The Eifel National Park and the nearby Olef, Urft and Rur dams invite you to take a trip. It is not far to the romantic Ahr valley or to the pretty towns of Bad Münstereifel and Monschau. Sports and leisure facilities, such as a go-kart track in Schmidtheim (8km), a gyrofoil flight on the Dahlemer Binz (8km), climbing facility on Lake Kronenburg (14 km), a game reserve with a bird of prey station in Hellenthal are not far away. Our vacation apartments We renovated the upper floor in 2021 and, in addition to underfloor heating and a walk-in shower, it also has large panoramic skylights to enjoy the unobstructed view of the countryside. To ensure a good climate (even under the roof), no ordinary glass or rock wool was used, but cellulose insulation was blown in for improved sound and heat insulation. The kitchens are also new and equipped with many appliances (see equipment)We have tried to think of everything, e.g. potato peelers for left-handers are also available.For free sparkling drinking water, a soda streamer is available in each of our vacation apartments,which saves you the hassle of lugging around crates and returning deposits.
