Welcome to the Alte Burg! Pure village life: Our castle (built in 1509) is located in the middle of the picturesque Schönecker Schweiz in the old and quiet village center of Hersdorf.Our comfortably furnished vacation apartment in the former barn is the ideal starting point for hikes and explorations of the Eifel - from the volcanic Eifel with the maars to the High Fens and Luxembourg. Guests with children are just as welcome as guests with pets. Just come and relax and unwind. We look forward to seeing you! The accommodation The vacation apartment is built into a former barn. It has a large living room with adjoining kitchen area, a fireplace, a dining area and a living area with sofa (can be converted into a sofa bed). A wooden staircase leads to the gallery with the sleeping area. From the entrance, however, you first enter the hallway with checkroom and the modern bathroom with walk-in shower. Access for guests In front of the vacation apartment is a loggia with seating and a partially covered barbecue area, which our guests are welcome to use by prior arrangement. Our village Hersdorf is a tiny village with about 400 inhabitants. Our castle is in a very quiet location. There are no shops in the village, no bakery and unfortunately no village pub. So bring something with you for breakfast the morning after your arrival. But there is fresh milk straight from the farmer. We will be happy to put a bottle of milk in the fridge for the first morning if you order in advance.As in many places in the Eifel, the mobile phone network is not ideal. So you won't have reception everywhere in the apartment.The nearest small supermarket, bakery, pubs, restaurants etc. can be found in Schönecken, about 4 km away.More restaurants, museums and a good ice cream parlor can be found in Prüm, about 8 km as the crow flies from Hersdorf.

Our small 1 bedroom apartment "Aquamarin" is a total of 22 sqm in size and ideal for 2 people. It has everything you need for a pleasant stay: shower/WC, box spring bed, sofa bed, kitchenette with stove, oven and dishwasher, coffee maker for pads, kettle, toaster, free Wi-Fi, smart TV.It is a non-smoking apartment, pet-free and therefore suitable for allergy sufferers. You are welcome to share our garden with a separate seating area. A small barbecue is also available. A lockable shelter for your bicycles, a charging station for e-bikes and rental bicycles (at an additional cost) are available.

The comfortably equipped hotel lies in calm situation in Deudesfeld only 5 minute away from the forest. Here you find bourgeois society and relaxation. The restaurant expects you with the fresh home cooking kitchen of the Eifel. We provide group and overall offers gladly on request.

Welcome to the holiday apartment at the waterfall! The house, built in the 19th century, has been owned by the family ever since. We are therefore pleased to welcome you to our historic apartments. Rental to holiday guests has only been possible since the complete renovation in 2023. Our great-grandparents and grandparents previously lived here. Through the complete renovation, we can offer you every comfort you need for a relaxing holiday, despite the house's long history. We offer you space on two floors with two double rooms and one single room. The 5-star holiday apartment is located in a quiet outskirts location in the small village of Nohn, which is particularly known for the growing Dreimühlen waterfall. Our property offers you the perfect starting point for hiking, cycling or relaxing. The Kalkeifel cycle path is in the immediate vicinity, as are premium hiking trails such as the Eifelsteig and interesting circular hiking trails. The Dreimühlen waterfall is a special destination at any time of the year. Discover the beautiful nature along a circular route and marvel at the growing waterfall. The nearby Café Nohner Mühle invites you to linger with coffee, delicious waffles or cake. In the Rolf Jaax Metzgerie self-service market in town you can get fresh rolls and much more that you need every day, except Sunday, from 8:30 a.m. Hillesheim with its shopping opportunities can be reached within 10 km.
