The county seat of Daun is located in the heart of the fascinating Vulkaneifel and is the ideal starting point for nature lovers, hikers, cyclists, and motorsports enthusiasts. The region captivates visitors with its unique volcanic landscape, famous maars, idyllic forests, and numerous hiking and biking trails. Just a few minutes’ walk away runs the popular Maare-Mosel Bike Trail, one of Germany’s most beautiful bike trails. Adventure seekers can reach the via ferrata in Manderscheid in no time, while the world-famous Nürburgring—with its legendary Nordschleife and numerous events—is only about 20 km away.

Located right in the center of Daun yet pleasantly quiet below the castle, the newly renovated Burgberg City Apartment awaits you. This high-quality vacation rental is situated in a private, fenced-in area and can accommodate up to five people—a rare combination of a central location and relaxed privacy.

The bright living area features a cozy sitting area, a smart TV, and a dining area for shared meals. The modern kitchen is fully equipped and includes a stove, oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, and a fully automatic coffee machine. Coffee and tea are, of course, available free of charge during your stay.

The bedroom is furnished with a comfortable double bed (180 × 200 cm). Additionally, two practical trundle beds (each 80 cm wide) can be pulled out. The high-quality sleeper sofa in the living room provides another sleeping option, allowing a total of up to five guests to stay comfortably.

The modern bathroom features a shower and a bathtub. Towels, a hair dryer, and various toiletries and personal care items are provided for your use.

A special highlight is the private garden—the ideal place to enjoy some peace and quiet after a hike, a bike ride, or an eventful day at the Nürburgring, and to wind down the day in a relaxed atmosphere.

Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the entire property. Information brochures with tips for excursions and recommendations for the region are provided in the apartment.

    In one of the most beautiful places in the volcanic Eifel, surrounded by the geologically special landscape of the Daun Maars, lies our holiday home "Schöner Maarblick" in a green hillside location, with a fantastic view of the Schalkenmehren Maar. With a view of the Maar, you can enjoy breakfast and the morning on the east terrace, the south terrace offers sun until the evening hours. A fireplace with firewood belongs to the Maarblick terrace. Both terraces are equipped with garden furniture, sun loungers are available in the spacious garden, where there is also a spacious barbecue area. In both bedrooms you lie in high-quality double box-spring beds, the shower room has towels, hairdryer and make-up mirror, the kitchen is fully equipped. The dining room and living room are flooded with light and lovingly furnished, you can also enjoy the view of the Maar from the living room. In a separate washingroom you can use a washingmaschine and a dryer, 5€ every use.

    The apartment is furnished to a high standard. The kitchen is fully equipped and includes a dishwasher, microwave, fridge/freezer, coffee machine, citrus juicer and kitchen blender. A crib and high chair can be provided on request, and most of the windows can be darkened with an electric blind. The terrace at the back belongs to the apartment. There is a covered and cozy seating area and a table tennis table. A charcoal barbecue including charcoal is available. Children are also welcome to play in the garden (e.g. badminton, soccer). The vacation apartment is located near a cycle path that invites you to go on beautiful tours.
