Winter hike around the village of Olef, with great views of the wintry Eifel.

Hike through the picturesque Oleftal valley with only a few meters of elevation gain!
You first walk through the pedestrian zone of Schleiden-Gemünd on the Eifelsteig trail to the Catholic church. The Dr.-Gerhardus-Weg takes you to the outskirts of Olef (tip: take a detour into the town to the historic market square and the church). After crossing the River Olef, the hiking tour continues slightly uphill on well-maintained paths through Nierfeld to the Eifel-Blick Kreuzberg. From there you can enjoy a wonderful view over the Eifel. A short, steep descent then leads down to Gemünd, along the Urft back to the starting point.
