Grab your bikes and discover the Volcanic Eifel with the whole family in a fun way. Between Daun and Gillenfeld, the Maare-Moselle cycle path is particularly child-friendly: four friends accompany the little ones on their cycle tour and tell them exciting things about their environment.

The Maare-Moselle cycle path invites families to enjoy a relaxed cycle tour along the former railroad line - perfect for children, as the asphalted path has almost no inclines! From Daun to Gillenfeld, there is plenty to experience on this child-friendly section: You cycle over a viaduct, through an exciting tunnel and past the impressive Eifel maars and ancient volcanoes. If you want to explore even more, you can visit the volcano farm in Gillenfeld or discover the Pulvermaar. The Maare-Moselle cycle path is ideal for families and leisure cyclists and offers plenty of cycling fun!

From May to October, there is also an additional bus service for transporting bicycles. You can also get off the bus in Gillenfeld or Schalkenmehren and start your cycle tour there. It is advisable to reserve bikes in advance. This can be done conveniently online at www.radbusse.de. The Tourist Information Daun will be happy to make the reservation for you on site.
