Before long, you’ll have left the town behind and be heading toward Schalkenmehren. This Eifel village is known for its unique location right on the Schalkenmehren Maar. Not only can you cycle around it, but you can also use it for an active break: the natural outdoor pool at the Schalkenmehren Maar invites you to cool off during your bike tour.

Many smooth, flowing sections then take you to Bad Bertrich, where you can look forward to trail-like terrain. From Bad Bertrich, you’ll have to pedal hard to reach Lutzerath. There, the Eifelblick Achterhöhe awaits you—one of the most beautiful views in the Eifel.
