A gem of baroque architecture in the middle of the forest: the small 18th century Marien pilgrimage church on the Schankweiler Höhe with the adjoining hermit's dwelling is a much-visited destination not only for pilgrims and is definitely worth a visit.

Our house is located in a quiet area in the town center, right at the edge of the High Fens and directly at the entrance to the Eifelsteig. The entrance to the RaVelweg is also nearby. Look forward to our bright and tastefully furnished holiday apartment and enjoy your stay.

The St. Ottilia chapel is somewhat hidden on the footpath to the Riedener Mühle, right on the edge of the forest. The very neat chapel was built in 1897 by a certain F.W. Hilger, for the salvation of his eyesight.
