Surrounded by the greenery of the northern Eifel, the two white towers of the Steinfeld basilica rise up behind the wide-open, wrought-iron gate of the monastery gate. The historical beginnings of Steinfeld Monastery go back more than 1000 years and the complex is considered one of the best-preserved monastic monuments in the Rhineland. The Salvatorian order has been at home here for almost 100 years - and offers its guests an exceptional place to stay. As a center of education and spirituality, art and culture, the order makes the monastery an experience for guests. They experience the pilgrimage site with the tomb of St. Hermann Josef and the historic König organ in the basilica as the cultural, historical and religious center of the region. Organ vespers, concerts and musical meditations invite you to visit, as do the guided tours of the monastery complex with its cloister and chapel. The Steinfeld Monastery Academy, meanwhile, offers adult education in a monastic atmosphere - an antidote to the stresses and strains of everyday life.64 comfortable rooms of four-star standard in the new guest house at Steinfeld Monastery promise a cozy stay in a monastic atmosphere. The spacious guest rooms are designed with natural materials such as wood and granite. Artists from the Steinfeld Monastery Academy have provided their paintings to give the guest rooms an individual touch. In addition to the 3 disabled-accessible rooms, the entire guest house has been designed to be barrier-free, making the monastery both a place to slow down and a meeting place. In the heart of the Northern Eifel, it is the starting point for a variety of excursions to castles and palaces, leisure facilities and museums in the surrounding area. Steinfeld Monastery is a stage destination on the Eifelsteig premium hiking trail.

Our Vulkaneifel holiday flats on the Felsenpfad are located on the outskirts of the lively fountain town of Gerolstein, in the heart of the wild and romantic Vulkaneifel. It is only a few metres from our front door to the start of the Gerolstein Rock Trail. Winding paths, forest and unspoilt nature guarantee relaxation and a break from everyday life. Around 500 m along hidden footpaths and lovingly planted allotments, the trail leads down to the centre of Gerolstein. Here, in addition to the railway station with excellent connections to Cologne and Trier, you will find a wide range of restaurants, owner-managed retail outlets and lovely cafés. Supermarkets with a well-stocked range of regional products can be reached either on foot in around 10 minutes or by car. Gerolstein is world-famous for its unique and original mineral water. In addition to a free guided tour of the Gerolsteiner Brunnen GmbH & Co. KG visitor centre, the small, lively Eifel town has numerous interesting, sometimes spectacular sights that you should explore during your stay here.
