The Daun Wildlife and Adventure Park is located in a vast, unspoiled area in the Vulkaneifel. An eight-kilometer-long scenic drive winds through this landscape of forests, streams, and gorges: Here, families with children can get up close and personal with the animals . There are stops with viewing platforms and feeding areas, allowing visitors to get up close to the animals time and again.

Visitors can witness the fall rutting season or the adorable baby animals up close. At the Daun Wildlife and Adventure Park, there are mouflons, wild yaks, llamas, and rheas, as well as red deer, fallow deer, wild boars, and many others—they roam the forests and are curious about their human guests. In a gorge lined with ancient beech trees—which can be explored on foot—lively Barbary macaques frolic and eye the visitors.

The expansive birds-of-prey enclosure, with its falconry program, features breathtaking flight shows by these feathered acrobats and provides plenty of information about the lifestyle of the natural kings of the skies.

Inside the park, the restaurant, the adventure playground with its many imaginative structures—such as a giant wave slide—and the mini-animal farm, where the animals love to be petted, make a visit an unforgettable, year-round treat for the whole family.

Right outside the park’s gates is the 800-meter-long summer toboggan run, where you can enjoy a winding descent through meadows and woods down into the valley. You can set your own pace and are transported back to the lofty heights of the starting point by a comfortable lift system.
