Fun for the whole family is provided by the brand new nature experience trail with forest ball track in the Gerolstein city forest

In the Gerolstein city forest, things are now rolling, and I mean that literally! Here awaits a new adventure that makes not only children's hearts beat faster: The first forest ball track in the entire region provides a spectacular highlight of the brand new nature experience trail, ensuring amazement and lots of fun.
Welcome to a place where forest knowledge, movement, and love for nature come together!

The entrance alone piques curiosity: At the DRK site, an oversized friendly fox, the friendly logo of the Silvadrom, welcomes visitors and shows them the way. What follows is a 1.7-kilometer experience circular path filled with eight interactive stations.

The 8 stations along the experience circular path motivate small and large visitors to discover, learn, and play in the forest. Here, one learns interesting facts about the many connections that exist between the forest and us humans.

The stations of the nature experience trail:

  • Waste
  • Rotating Cube
  • Light in the Forest
  • Jumping Game
  • Balance Beam
  • Water
  • Tipping Table
  • Trees

The highlight is the approximately 400-meter-long forest ball track, located at the end of the circular path. A huge fun for children! The balls are available at the ball machine on-site for just one euro at any time – simply insert a matching one-euro coin and off you go!

Once inserted, the thrilling ride begins: The ball rushes through wooden channels, passing curves, obstacles, and creative elements, sometimes straight as an arrow, sometimes with surprising twists, always with momentum and fun. And while the ball rolls, it casually tells the story from the tree to the finished wood product.
