The Konvikt - House of Culture or House of Church Services, under the sponsorship of the Prüm Municipality, houses various facilities, clubs and associations - including the registry office, the central library, the adult education center and the Eifel Tourismus (ET) GmbH. Events are also regularly held here.

Creative Crafts Göres stands for individual, handmade articles made from wood. The range includes decorative and gift items, wildlife aids, and products for dog engagement. The majority of the products are designed and manufactured in the small 2-person business.

The 1250 years old city of Düren can proudly look back on its industrial past, with many enterprises still working worldwide until today. The proverbial wealth of Düren’s entrepreneurial families Schoeller, Hoesch and others in the former “city of millionaires” established a rich patronage tradition with numerous cultural, social and educational institutions, which is portrayed by the exhibition “Düren’s Golden Years, 1871-1914”.
