Kolverather Drees

The Kolverather Drees (=source), like the Josendrees, lies directly on the Josenbach stream. Delicious sparkling water straight from the ground refreshes you along the way.

This Drees (source) on the outskirts of Daun lies even further up the Josenbach than the Josendrees. Close to the military site, refreshing and tasty mineral water oozes out of the earth in a completely natural way.

The Drees has the same composition as the Josendrees, a magnesium-calcium-hydrogen carbonate acidulous water. The water, which is about 9 degrees cold, contains iron and refreshes hikers on the Drees hiking trail. However, it is not lined and so the water is harder to draw.

The Kolverather Drees is less visited and less known because of its distance from the city. The Josendrees is easy to reach, yet it too is less well known and visited than the Hotzendrees. You can find more information in the brochure: "Dreese - Mineralwasser- und Kohlensäurequellen der Vulkaneifel".
