A 110-meter-long suspension bridge spans the river valley in the area of the "Irrel Waterfalls," the rapids of the Prüm. The bridge is designed to be barrier-free and is connected to several hiking trails , including the premium trail "Felsenweg 5" in the NaturWanderPark delux and the "Teuflische Acht," which connects the waterfalls with the Teufelsschlucht. From the bridge, there is an impressive view over the valley and the rapids, providing an impression of the changes brought about by the flood disaster in 2021 at this fascinating location.
The Catholic church in Manderscheid could probably tell many stories about the last centuries. It was first mentioned in 1330. It is called the Tree of Life Church because a tree of life in the form of a column grows from the baptismal font in the crypt.
