Hürtgenwald
Located at the highest point in the district of Düren (566 m above sea level) and directly on the district border with Aachen, this Eifel view offers you an impressive distant view to the west over the Hürtgen Forest into the Aachener Land and as far as the Dutch province of Limburg, and to the north into the Jülich Börde and the Cologne Bay, with spoil tips and power stations giving you an impression of how strongly the region has been and continues to be shaped by coal and lignite mining. The Eifel-Blick can be easily reached via the historical-literary hiking trail "Ochsenkopfweg" or you can take a detour from the MTB-Runde F, the "Panoramaschleife", which runs in the immediate vicinity.the Eifel-Blick is only about 100 m from the Jägerhaus parking lot on the B 399 between Vossenack and Lammersdorf, directly on the border between the districts of Düren and Aachen. A paved path leads to the Eifel-Blick, gradient < 6%. Follow the signs "Eifel-Blick".
